Decorative Art

I have been working in Pittsburgh area homes and businesses commercially for almost twenty years. Upon my initial meeting, I begin with an interview process to determine the desired effect the client wants. I not only discuss color and design, but the mood my client wants to achieve. I believe the interaction between my client and myself is crucial. I have worked successfully with contractors, architects and designers, as well. My job is to bring the client’s idea to life. With murals, I strive to accomplish work that can withstand the test of time. I believe it is critical to do this, especially in children’s rooms. The work can grow with them.

The palette colors are often transparent glazes. This effect allows the wall color to show through, creating a unity with the design and the room. The style of brushwork I use is based on Japanese Sumi-e painting. It creates an organic look to the flora and fauna painted. My goal is to achieve balance and harmony in my client’s environment.
